~A Confused Boy~
A Boy in confusion lacks the thought
To the meaning of her thoughts
And every time she tried to tell him
He stayed frozen inside in confusion
The feeling was there, and yet
He stayed confused
The moment was there, and yet
He stayed confused
She whispered in his ear;
“I like you”
Yet, he remained confused
She wrote him a note;
“I like you”
Yet, he remained confused
She held up a sign;
“I like you”
Yet, he remained confused
The boy went on within himself
Inside the wasteland of her thoughts
Confused about what her actions meant
He shrugged, going on with his life
But she could not.
Still, she tried day by day
To break the barrier of his confusion
And day by day she knew,
Her efforts were all in vain
The pain of his endless confusion
Was getting too much for her to bear
She sat in sadness of his confusion
Wondering if she could bear
To give his barrier of confusion;
One last chance to break
Just the two of them, alone in their own world
She leaned over and let out a whisper;
“I really like you.”
Four words and the barrier broken, he leans back;
“I really like you too.”
